Wal-Mart Groundbreaking in the High Desert

August 14, 2011 by Bill Fulton

Assemblyman Donnelly with local officials and Wal-Mart representatives at the Hesperia Wal-Mart groundbreaking.

Assemblyman Donnelly joined City officials and representatives from Wal-mart  at the Hesperia Wal-Mart Super Center groundbreaking. The new Wal-Mart will be open for business in one year on the corner of  Main and Escondido in Hesperia.

A second Wal-Mart Super Center, which will include a full grocery store, is scheduled to break ground the same day in the Dunia Plaza Shopping Center in Victorville.

These shopping centers will bring much needed jobs and revenue into the local economy. After years of legal battles, Wal-Mart is finally able to get these projects underway.
